Hi All,

This is my 3rd pregnancy. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m already busy with my baby but I have never felt so sick and ill and exhausted in my life and I’m really worrying about how things will go after the baby arrives. I feel like I don’t know where I will find the energy. Has anyone else felt like this?

At the beginning of this pregnancy I couldn't get past 7pm in the evening. I'd put my child to bed she was 14 months when I got pregnant. I was sooo exhausted all the time, the days I wasn't working I'd have pm naps too!! It got much better second trimester. Now I'm 39 weeks and feeling the toll again although not as bad as the beginning still. It will get better!!

Thank you Roxannacar, that’s reassuring that it hopefully wont be all the way through. Luckily I’m still on mat leave so when my baby naps I try to too but it’s never proper deep sleep.

Not long to go for you! How exciting! x

To be fair part of me wants to baby to come asap as my poor pelvis is shattered but the other part of me is a little bit terrified!! i'm sure it will be hard but also rewarding!

I’m 20 weeks pregnant with an 8 month old and that first trimester was a killer! I felt so exhausted and low,I feel much better now though and have much more energy and ”enthusiasm... it does get better! I’m sure that will change again near the end! Hope it gets easier for you soon! X

Thanks Bexi, yeah I’ve felt really low too. I can’t wait for it to pass! Do you worry about having two babies? x

I definitely have “gulp” moments but I have friends with two small babies and twins who I have spoken to a lot and whilst they have trying moments, they couldn’t imagine life any different. I think having two at any age difference brings a new and initially difficult dynamic to the household and you all sort of get into the swing of things! So i’m excited and a little nervous at the same time but I think that’s totally normal! Hope that helps! X
