Apart from drinking more water it's important to eat fruit and vegetables. I find prunes do the trick with me. Constipation is common in pregnancy but I'd try to stay on top of it. Might be worth speaking to a pharmacist to see which laxatives you can use if having different foods doesn't do the trick

Thanks for the reply Rona! Yeah i do eat lots of fruits and leafy vegetables but it doesn't work with me. Many women say it's common in pregnancy but i am feeling pain in lower abdomen too. I stop taking iron tablet as well still no improvement so far.😢😰😢😢

I have endo and the uterus is stuck to the bowel and therefore the baby is backing into my bowels making number 2s very difficult.

I have bran every day. Prunes are good but anther thing to try western toilets are not the best position to be in for number 2s. Asian style squatting toilets are the best. I went out and bought a squatty potty (not a potty but a step to get your feet higher whilst on the loo). The same thing can be achieved by placing 2-3 toilet rolls under each of your feet whilst trying. Your just trying to get into that squat position. The squatty potty is just less balance! I wouldn't be without it and really don't care what visitors think as its worth its weight in gold.

I've used that position on a number of occasions, agree western toilets are not a great design for number 2s.

After getting my step I don’t think I could ever go back to being able to do one normally. Beats squatting on the floor and then making a judgement call of when to hop back on the loo!

What do you if you're travelling tho? I must say I avoid the squatting toilets like the plague if They are public

I'm banned from travel due to low lying placenta and can't do any of my usual site visits so I'm stuck at home. I'm guessing that this is so difficult at the moment due to the size of the baby. Toilet bins are good to get your feet up in hotel rooms etc.

One good thing about constipation is that the number 2s are infrequent!

If i was doing a night stay away then my step as pregnancy pillow would be in the boot of the car

I had dried apricots about 5 in the morning followed by a pint of warm/hot water, that helped wake the bowel up in the morning. I put at least 3/4 prunes in my porridge. Make sure you eat brown bread/pasta/rice and dark green veg for your iron if you’ve stopped taking tablets. If that doesn’t work your dr can give you a liquid laxative syrup xx
