Palpitations are never normal. It depends if your heart is going very fast or if your are just conscious of your heart beat (which can be normal in pregnancy). I would suggest seeing your gp to clarify.
Thanks for replying. Dr has done some blood test for blood count and thyroid to rule out the possibility of anemia or thyroid. Will get the result on Monday. I have been asked to call the gp if it persist.
During this pregnancy I have caught them 2 x - each time I went to see the midwife the heart was beating just fine and had no problems. Best is to mentions it to midwife so she can sent you to see right people. Or go and see a gp.
Hi there I had anxiety ( whether this is what your experiencing??)the first trimester and was advised to take calms (a herbal remedy which you probably know) by my gp ..I found it worked! Although it did disappear on it own as I was told it is quite common for pregnant women to go through this!
Thanks for replying. I feel palpitations when I m sitting quietly and watching tv. So don't think it is been caused by anxiety. For me too it disappears on its own. May be one of the pregnancy symptoms.
