I'm not sure how anyone can help you? I'd just buy gender neutral stuff, small amount and then get the rest after they are born. Choose two different name one for each sex. Does it matter if it's a girl or boy?

Hi, it's often that way - if the doctor's thinks that they have seen that it's a boy, they are more sure about the result as the signs of baby boy are more visible. With baby girl, there is much less to see, so they are then more cautious confirming that. You wouldn't be the first mum to expect a girl from what the docs said at ultrasound and then be surprised by a boy at birth after all.

So have some names ready for both!

If you really need to know the gender, then you could always have a private scan. They're usually more relaxed than a hospital because they don't necessarily have to examine you, so they can take their time to get a clearer view instead. They can be pretty expensive, but sometimes they have deals on Groupon or Wowcher so I'd have a good look around first!

Just go for a private scan - that's what I did as wanted to know baby's sex.

Good luck :)

Before paying for an expensive scan wait till your next scan. If they are not sure then pay for one. In the end happy and healthy is what you want, whatever the sex!

I agree with everyone above, gender neutral is probably best for clothes and names etc. I was fortunate /unfortunate to need additional scans, and they were able to confirm again again that it was a girl. so I started buying pink things like a buggy etc. but if you arent sure, have you thought about getting some white bits for the first couple of days then ordering some boy or girl bits after? xxxx
