How soon do most women feel movement? What does it feel like? I'm 18 weeks and don't feel anything!

I felt my babe at 14 weeks others usually at 22 weeks if you don't feel anything by then her a check up its normal at this stage not to feel anything

I didn't feel anything until 19 weeks. This is because my placenta is at the front and acts as a cushion. Ask where your placenta is at your 20 week scan.

I didn't feel my first until later on but my second I felt from around 15 or 16 weeks. It feels like a flutter or gas bubble at first so yoy may not realise!! Don't panic though as it's quite normal!!

I didn't feel anything till 23/24ish weeks! I had an anterior high placenta which is the worst for feeling movement, and also if it's your first I was told by midwives I probably was feeling movements and not recognising them. They start of pretty subtle at first!

If you're getting kind of fluttering feelings alsmot like indigestion it may well be the baby moving. So do not panic. Have you got another scan booked?

The 1st start of movement can be any time from about 16weeks. That's when I felt my little one. Just try to relax and then your baby will relax and want to start having a kick or turning around. My little one often got hiccups, and still does now he's nearly 5 mths old. Stretch out watching the tv in the evenings with your hands on your belly. That first time you feel that moving is amazing. I'm proud of my little boy and love him so so much but I do miss being pregnant. If you are concerned go see your gp or mid wife and see if you can get a scan to check every thing is ok. Good luck. Don't worry hun, you will get there. I am 24 weeks along now, and didn't really begin feeling much at all until 20-21 weeks along and was so worried bc this is my 4th and expected to sooner anyway at this moment of typing this my little one is making my belly dance! Lol. It feels differently to everyone and every pregnancy, but can feel like butterflies or small twitches at first even like gas bubbles and may be hard to distinguish between gas and kicking.. Lol. But then the kicks get much stronger, and if u kind of take ur finger, lightly tap or touch ur belly, that's a little what it's like but on the other side of ur belly. :) congrats hun!!

Aww it will happen. I was really worried, and said so at my 20 week scan, and the sonographer showed me my bay wriggling and kicking. My placenta is anterior, which means it cushions movements at the front but by 23/24 weeks along she was kicking a lot more, and now she kicks so much... :) Sometimes laying down on your back for a few minutes helps, but as the others have said, the earlier movements (for most people, not all) arent always recognisable.
