Again my periods are started today :(

Last month My doctor asked me for a blood test between period day 1 to day 5.

Any one know what kind of test they will examine?

I don't know but ask him to test your thyroid levels as these can be directly linked to fertility problems x

Can u please tell me it is possible to get pregnant with thyroid?

You can get pregnant but sometimes if your levels get very very low you cannot carry at all and not get pregnant. Low thyroid levels also cause miscarriages. It can be the same with high thyroid levels also. It can either go underactive (too low) or hyperactive (too high).

Yeah, I agree with Katie- I forgot that thyroid could be to blame and to rule it out you could do a test.

Friend of mine had irregular periods, problem to conceive, then 2x got pregnant and later on had misscariages. We both went to do a blood test (T4 &T3) to check thyroid function. Mine was just perfect, hers was not. Once they discovered that her thyroid was not producing enough hormones to keep the baby - she was put on some artificial hormones (it can be done naturally by changing diet, having more iodine and less gluten )

After that she fell pregnant and had a baby boy, and 2 years later she had twins.

Good luck!(probably nothings wrong with your thyroid but just in case)

For me sadly hypothyroidism is genetic down the female line. I tried for years to control it with diet and supplementing which worked for a little while but it still went low and I almost died you can actually go into a coma with it if it goes very very low also had many miscarriages. Sometimes it goes worse after the birth of a child also or it sets it off because so much thyroid hormone is needed during pregnancy. Postpartum hypothyroidism. Or there is a condition called hashimotos or autoimmune disease, this is when antibodies in the body go sky high and attack the thyroid gland making you hypo or hyper a lot of these people find going gluten free helps but it's a lifelong condition once discovered. I am medicated now, so all good X

Poor you... what an awful thing to inherit! 😢

I remember seeing your replies and sharing your painful experience :( however, you are blessed and have (I think) 3 babies and one in the way 👍 ❤️

In my family migraine seams to be the thing people pass on. I really wished for a baby girl but looks that it's a baby boy in my tummy, and one thing I am happy is that males rarer suffer from migraines than females.

Oh yes I inherit all the nice things from my mum haha we also get migraines, they are horrid things. Boys are lovely and always have a special bond with mum. You will be over the moon when you see your little bundle believe me. Girls are more high maintenance believe me haha. You fall in love with your baby, boy or girl though to be honest x

If I remember correctly they are checking your egg reserve - FHS on blood test form. And they will probably test your progesterone levels at 7 days pass ovulation or day 21 to confirm you have ovulated.

hope all goes well. X

Last month I went for the test progesterone oestrogen something like this.

She took my test on my Cylce day 21, but it was low.

N doc said, if u'll periods starts in next 7 days, then this will b considered right test, & u have to Take medicines to increase ur level.

But my periods started after 15 days.

She said me another test which should between Cycle day 1 to cycle day 5.

Next time you see you gp ask her if you done the test at the right time. From my understanding the progesterone test should be done 7 days after you ovulate. So if you didn't ovulate on day 14 the test being done on day 21 is pointless. Might be worth discussing this with her and maybe suggest using ovulation sticks to pinpoint ovulation and take progesterone test 7 days later.

Obviously you want to get things moving and you must do your own research and be forward with your Dr - or you could be in for a long wait for things to get done.

Good luck!
