Is it possible to be pregnant if that day you were expecting your period because its already 30 days from your last period but then since it was delay so I had a unprotective intercourse and now Im delay for almost 8 days.

I can't see where you are, but the easiest way to resolve this is take a test, since in theory you can get pregnant from unprotected sex at any point in your cycle. Are your periods usually regular? The practice nurse at your GP surgery can do a test. In the UK you can also buy tests in chemists, supermarkets and some discount shops such as Home and Bargain. The cheap ones are usually just as accurate but slightly harder to read than the more expensive ones. Most people take a second test if the first one is positive. If it's negative it seems you should still visit your GP.

I couldn't find a profile but it's hard to give precise advice because you haven't given much info about your age, how regular your periods are etc.

My period is always regular.It just this month I supposed to have my menstruation last 17 but It didnt come. For almost 17 months I didnt have contact with my partner for he worked in Singapore.Btw im still 26 and its my first time to have a delay period.Now my point is it possible to be pregnant even if we had intercourse the 30th day of my cycle.

Im 26 and I usually have a 28 to 32 days cycle.

there is only a small chance of conceiving around the time your period is due, but it is still possible, yes. If this is the first time you have been late it's probably best to get a test. Other things that could delay your period could be sudden loss or gain of a lot of weight, stress, significant change of diet, bereavement etc.

Yes it is possible if you ovulate late. I do myself and never fall pregnant if I do the supposed most fertile days. Also some women ovulate twice during a cycle. Best way to know is to do a test.

Katie! Interesting to hear about ovulation from other women as it's not widely discussed topic, neither properly taught to women to understand our own bodies, reproductive sistem, mood swings etc.

If it's not a secret: How long is your cycle and what day is the ovulation?

(Mine went exactly by the book - the 14th day it was - now pregnant!)

I actually ovulate twice. Once on 18th day from cycle and then again around 24th day but it can vary from month to month with me. Although my menstrual cycle is usually the same.

I would do a test even if I was one day late as I just want to know what is going on. My tests says that it can detect pregnancy 5 days before due period.

Ok - I think I understood only now what you meant :

You were expecting period to start - had intercorse and now are 8 days delayed.

So - if you were pregnant then only 8 days, but to detect pregnancy via test It should have passed at least 9 days.

As the chances are very slim to be pregnant - I would go to HomeBargain and get some under a pound test or the fancy Clearblue which detects weeks cost £4. Maybe wait a day or two - as period might show up.

Maybe you're just too excited seeing your partner again after all this time that those sress hormones have overtook and does not let progesterone level to drop.
