There normally is an increase in the need for levothyroxine. If you're hypothyroid let your GP know if you're trying to get pregnant or are pregnant as they need to keep an eye on your thyroid function tests.

There's a website btf-thyroid.org which might be worth looking into

I had been to NHS GP,NHS Gyn and NHS Endo .Till date they believe TSH only and never cure me even when TSH was - 4.3 ,low range FT3 on levo 50mcg with hypo symptoms,PCOS,Infertility.

I feel wasted my time seeing them.I am waiting for private endo appointment.

I'm afraid I can't comment as I'm not an endocrinologist. However I don't see any reason why they would under treat you. They don't really have anything to gain out of it, and surely they can't all be incompetent. Maybe the issue with infertility is the PCOS rather than the thyroid issue.

My only suggestion is to try and lose weight if that's an issue (I know it's hard esp with a hypothyroid) but it can improve PCOS and fertility.

Good luck with the private endocrinologist.

My history is hypothyroidism with TSH-4 on levo, conversion t4-t3 problem and adrenal fatigue may be due to low thyroid treatment .

Iam saying doctors I met were not competent to treat root cause of my problem and interested only with TSH levels .

I don't have PCOS after taking NDT .On NDT,TSH is suppressed and doctors don't treat on levo when TSH is suppressed with low range FT4 on NDT.

I will go through IVF treatment and wanted to know from ladies maintaining on NDT & FT4 levels during pregnancy.

ive had my thyroid removed completely and on levo thyroxine, i had an increase of 25 mg at week 12, always always check bloods regularly because it can cause issues, 19 weeks now due for scan on tuesday but all seems well hearbeat it strong :)

After pregnancy,FT4 is need to high even with low TSH during first trimester. congratulations

Tip don't ever let anyone on here scare you, people will come across as it is very serious during pregnancy, your levels need to be checked initially on pregnancy, and they will check you when you need to be checked and if you feel like your thyroid in playing up see doctor straight away I'm 21 weeks pregnant and have also had mine removed due to grades, baby only needs your thyroid up to 14 weeks after that it produced it's own good luck you shouldn't have any issues
