ADVICE Please - 39+1 with my 3rd, but HAD BLOODY SHOW AT 6AM, WENT HOSPITAL AND THEY DONE A MEMBRANE SWEEP -

How long after show & membrane sweep foes labour start for you please ?

I'm having tightening also but nothing consistent, Just wondering if anyone has been the same & how long till labour starts, Just anxious as Iv never carried this long on previous pregnancy's and I dilate also, my midwife didn't seem to care ❤

U need to get moving!! Walk around - hoover!! Anything to get that pressure built up down there!! I was due Xmas eve years ago and had a sweep every night from a friend who was a midwife! Baby didn't arrive til new years eve!

I had a sweep when was 3cm at 11am show later in the day, by 5pm had strong regular contractions so went into hospital by 1am baby was out. But that's me and sweeps don't also work.

Dilating is what happens to everyone in labour. they can't keep every woman in hospital when they're not in proper labour yet
