Hi, i am 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant and i am a nervous wreck. Getting slight cramping and have been told its normal but i cant help but worry. I also feel really sick but haven't been sick. Does this sound normal? This is my first pregnancy and im so excited. Any advice would be helpful

Hey I'm almost 7 weeks and I've been getting slight cramping too, although much less over the last week - it's normal, it's just your uterus growing to accommodate the baby. I didn't feel sick until this weekend but I find it gets better if I eat - have a snack! Don't worry, just enjoy - and congratulations!! Xx

Thank you ☺ I think it's only natural to worry and panick a little. I'm on the finnishing straight now, I'm expecting identical twins and they will be with us for 36 weeks and I still find myself getting anxious.

some cramping is normal! Your body is adjusting and getting ready! They will most likely last for a few more weeks. I would say that if they were particularly painful or you had any bleeding then to speak to your GP. If not, don't panic! Relax!

Thanks all! I completely panicked today, called my GP and got sent for an emergency scan, am only 4 weeks so they said they couldn't see anything in my womb but also said the womb lining was thin, their pregnancy test and blood test showed that I'm pregnant. Need to go back in 48 hours to make sure it isn't an ectopic pregnancy. Any info on thin womb lining? She said my womb looked "normal"  whatever that means...

They will do a blood test after 48 hours to see if your pregnancy hormone is doubling as it should be. There is pretty much nothing they can tell on a scan until 6 weeks. If you're only 4 weeks, you would have only just got a positive test anyway so it's still very early days. pregnancy is an anxious time throughout so you should think about getting some help now to overcome these feelings, otherwise you will never relax into it and enjoy the pregnancy.

Thanks KellyTrip. Everything did go well, hormone levels were up, they did another scan which showed the gestational sac, they think it is a bit smaller than it should be but its there! Going back next friday to make sure the baby is growing properly. X
