Hi everyone,

This is my first pregnancy and I feel like I am struggling. I am 9+2 and I have the most horrible bloated sick feeling. I am constantly feeling nauseous and exhausted. Just wondered if anyone had any tips for this. I am struggling to eat because I am feeling so crappy :(

Small frequent meals! I found out the hungrier  you are the worse the nausea gets.

Thank you I will give it a go :)

I feel for you!! I had terrible nausea with this 2nd pregnancy although it eased by about week 11/12. I agree with roxannacar, try to eat little bits of whatever you can stomach. I found 7up amazing for settling my tummy - odd but it really works! I found carbs the best thing - that's all I fancied along with McDonald's fries (although managed to keep that under control)!!

Hope it eases for you soon xx

We're sorry to hear you're feeling so nauseous. We have a number of tips on our website that may help you. You can find them here: nct.org.uk/pregnancy/nausea...

I found that eating a couple of Jacobs crackers helped with the nausea. They aren't too heavy so they were easy to stomach without making me feel worse. Fingers crossed your nausea will only be for the first trimester 😊

Feeling exactly the same as you - I'm about ten weeks. Just constantly feel nauseous (very thankful not actually vomiting) but also extremely tired and achy all the time.

It's my boyfriend I feel sorry for as I am constantly complaining, groaning, sighing and am just not myself. I'm driving myself mad because I want to do little jobs around the house and can't cope with moving for much time! He's doing nearly everything with no complaining!

As people have suggested... Small snacks consistently through the day seems to be the only thing making it a tiny bit bearable. Keeping hydrated, I find hot orange squash is particularly soothing. Also very plain food seems to be my key at the moment - bread, cereal, banana and cheese!

Feel free to pm me for a good moan! We can get through it together! 😀

Reading this is exactly how I am feeling. I am constantly groaning at my OH, although he has been through this before with his ex so he his actually very sympathetic.

Thank you for your support. I may take you up on the offer of a pm moan :)
