Scared it's too good to be true!

I just did a test for the nurse an hour ago and it came up positive! I asked her over and over if it's definitely true and it couldn't mean anything else and she said very patiently that I'm definitely pregnant. Maybe 5 weeks. We've been trying for 2 years and it's so out of the blue that I hardly want to believe it. How can I get my head around this? I'm so scared to be happy in case it turns out to be wrong or something!! Sorry to be daft but we've been through so much to get here.

Ah bless you!!! Congratulations!!!!! I think it sounds pretty certain that you are definitely pregnant!!! In my experience it usually happens when you're not expecting it 😊. Enjoy it!!!

Aww thank you so much. I think it's going to take some time to sink in! X

It can be hard not to have negative thoughts but there's no reason to. Try to relax and take it easy xx

Congratulations, I have not heard of any positive test turning out otherwise. It will sink in with time as you will start to get some pregnancy symptoms. Enjoy your pregnancy and wishing you all the best 😊

Congratulations! You can only have false negative tests, for example if you test too early, never heard of false positives so you're definitely pregnant! It will be all the more real when you have your first scan. Make sure you take your prenatal vitamins and folic acid!!

Thanks everyone. That's really put my mind at ease. We've had a couple of pretty cruel false alarms so I think I was just scared because of that. Doesn't quite feel real yet but at least I'm not worrying now! Xx

It's true.... It's true! I was in the same position and I still can't believe it now at 19 + 4.

My advice from a true worrier is try to relax and enjoy this. It's a roller coaster but one well worth riding!

Good luck and congratulations.

As I wrote this, my baby was kicking me! This will be you soon :-) xx

I'm definitely believing it now. Hubby and I are a tad shell shocked but happy :) Now I'm just doing everything I can to keep it safe- can't bear the thought of losing it already! Xx
