Keloids sucks doesn't it? I'd get it checked out if it's uncomfortable and tight. And if poss get an opinion from someone other than the person who did it. Scarring's enough of an issue for us sufferers without having to put up with feeling butchered. Good luck.

tight usually means they have nearly healed, have yourself checked if your worried as you know your body. I had stitches with my second delivery and the pain was unbearable, but i found that not long after the tightness they started to come out. x in the mean time, mild salt wash will help healing and sooth the pain and discomfort.

I had plain bath but will try salt. I had a short perineum before but it feels like my shape below changed. Like there's hardly any place left to wee or poo! Will see what midwife says. Thanks again c

I had a 4th degree tear, my stitches healed really well but I was left with pain along the scar. At my post surgical check up at the hospital, the nurse advised that massaging the scar with a lubricant or oil would help with the pain, as the pain was due to a small area where the stitches had 'puckered'. She prescribed me a natural lubricant and it really has helped a lot.

I'll give that a go once it's healed. At the minute it's still pretty strange down there !
