Weeks Pregnant vs Scan Age

I had my first scan this week and they said scan indicated the baby is 4-5 weeks. Is that different to how many weeks "pregnant" I am as I know we add two weeks from conception ?

Hi,

When i went for my first scan (emergency due to bleeding) i was told by my doctor that i was 9 weeks from the date of conception but the nurse doing my scan told me i was only actually 6 weeks

The nurse told me my 'weeks pregnant' is dated by the scan & not the doctors calculations as these can sometimes be incorrect

I would suggest speaking with midwife to double check but i think you may be 5 weeks pregnant based on what your scan told you
