Hello Ladies,

I am wondering if someone was flying in their 30 or 31st weeks of the pregnancy?! I should go back to my country which is 2 hours flight from UK. We are 100% healthy and luckily all the pregnancy is going well.

Pls share your experience and ideas about it!

Have a nice day :)

Hi! We booked a last minute 4 and a half hour flight (due to nature of husbands work everything last minute!). Booked on the Monday and flew on the Wednesday morning with Thomson airlines. This is my second pregnancy. Both pregnancies I have been completely healthy. All airlines require a "fit to fly" certificate from 28 weeks onwards and you cannot fly after 36 weeks I think it is.

The week before we had booked I was to see my midwife anyway, I stated we would be planning on going away and if she thought it would be fine (after all, it is the midwives that look after us...not the doctor). She said absolutely I would be able to fly.

Tried my damnedest to get this £30 note, but no one could provide it in time. After "googling" it, I found that almost everyone whom had/n't paid for this note was not even given a second look. So we chanced it.

I turned 28 weeks the day after flying, packed my health notes in suitcase, flew back 2 weeks later (30 weeks) and not one person asked me for a note or anything. Heads up.... I am pretty big and have a clearly large bump!

As Ceribean said, flight socks and hydrated. Try get maybe an aisle seat also for stretching your legs x

I flew back from Australia at 30 weeks.... I wouldn't reccomend it but was absolutely fine. I had a note from my doctor and was given injections to stop clotting - I was under the haematologist anyway. During the whole flights and connections, not one person asked me... I too had a very large baby bump... Goodluck x
