Hi is it ok to breast and bottle feed a baby a week old I've just become a nanny and was wondering if this is ok

Yes

My LO was in SCBU for 2 weeks and I fed her when I was there and when I wasn't she was on expressed milk and formula.

Yes it should be fine.

There could be a slight problem with the baby re-attaching back onto the breast again but nothing major.

It's not advised until at least 5 weeks by the health visitors and bf lobby so I didn't! I know many people find it's fine though.

Although BF lobby and mid-wives may make a HUGE deal out of it.... but really as long as the baby is fed it is ok.

My daughter was combination fed and she is still a happy healthy child
