Weird rash on my breast

Morning ladies,

Sorry to bring up boob rashes so early on a Sunday morning but I'm hoping one of you will be able to help.

I've woken up this morning with a deep red, almost purple spotty looking rash on my left boob. It's not painful or tender at all, I'm not engorged and I feel fine in myself so I'm inclined to think it's not mastitis although I've never had it before. It's not on the nipple but the skin.

Has anybody has mastitis that's started out like this? Or any other idea as to what could be behind it? My partner is away for the weekend so if I can avoid sitting in the walk-in centre for hours with 2 kiddiewinks that would be good!

Any advice welcome - baby is 14 weeks and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. Thanks xx

Wow it's a tough one as I have no idea of what it could be too sorry!

I "apparently" have developed mild mastitis in my right breast at some point as I have a small lump in my right breast & I seemed to have no symptoms whatsoever.

My G.p reccons it could have been there from having / breastfeeding my 1st child.

My guess is give it a few days & it hopefully might rectify itself.

:)

Thanks for your replies ladies. It's so weird, it's under the skin like little blood blisters - if I had to liken it it anything it would be a lovebite (lovely eh?) but I haven't fallen asleep nursing or anything. Spoke to triage this morning but they weren't concerned - although to be honest I could've told them my arms and legs and head had fallen off and they wouldn't be concerned! I'll just keep an eye on it for now, thanks again x
