I be honest and say I havent bothered with maternity bras as the bras in Asda have provided enough support for me and were really cheap. I went up to an F-cup from a DD-cup and increased in a backsize but Asda did some gorgeous items for the more endowed lady. I think i just refused to give up the underwire so was stubborn :P

It really depends how u feel in urself. if your bras are still comfortable and are not digging into u (especially around the sides and into ur armpits) i'd say that a maternity bra is just an added expense that isnt overly necessary. If u would feel more comfortable in a maternity bra, make sure to go to a reputable company to get measured and ask their advice on the right ones for you. I think mothercare do a measuring service, as do M&S. As for when, again it is personal preference and how comfortable u feel. I'm sorry not to be of much more help than that xx

O didnt bother as my boobs didnt grow at all during pregnancy. .theres no right time its when u feel one if at all x

I bought some non wired maternity bras once I got so big, wearing an underwired bra was just too uncomfortable. But I got them in sales and my friend still worked at debenhams so got her discount on top of the sale price for me so they ended up like a fiver each. I still wear them now sometimes round the house. My cup size didn't change too much but my back size did....I've always had big boobs xx

I wore sports bras I found them really comfy and supportive... but as the sales are on its worth buying maternity bras now if that's what u want :)

I was out of non wire bras about 12 weeks as they didn't fit well with the expanding bust but also as recommended for those that want to breast feed as the wire can damage the delicate breast tissues, I went for non wired support bras not maternity, I had very bad rib pain as my chest expanded alit so I also had to buy bra extenders as well to be comfortable X

As some of the ladies have already mentioned there's no right or wrong time to start wearing a maternity bra it just depends on what you feel comfortable with.

I personally didn't bother as my breast didnt grow too much during the pregnancy but once I gave birth I bought 2 nursing bras just for the conveince of breastfeeding.

I've not gone for official maternity bras as such, M&S do a really super soft non-wired bra which is almost crop-top shape at the front. It is really supportive but stretchy too. I got them to measure me and they recommended I go up a back size to allow room for a bit of growth. They then checked that there was enough support currently and how much room there was to grow in. I've very pleased, they're so comfy.

I was told not to worry about getting maternity bra. I just got two nursing bras. Only because I'm going to breast feed when the baby comes. But if u r a big size like me. I'm a 44E + could not get my size in m+s or mothercare. I had to send of for.

I got some really pretty nursing bras from bravissimo and bravado as I find the ones in high street aren't tht nice but these ones cud actually pass as pretty lol x

It really depends on how your bras are fitting and how comfortable you feel...

..I got measured and bought a two pack of non-wired bras from M&S halfway through the first trimester, as my boobs had grown and were sore from underwiring. I also thought at that stage, I didn't need to wear maternity bras, just bigger and more comfortable ones!

I'm 16 weeks now, and at the moment I'm going to hold out until I feel that I need to get measured again, and then look at the options in terms of value and longevity, depending on what stage I'm at - for example, if I need to get measured at 20 weeks, then I'll probably stick to non-maternity, whereas if I'm 30 weeks I will look at nursing bras.

If you're unsure, you could get measured at somewhere like M&S or John Lewis - the staff are really good, and will give you great advice.

Sorry if this isn't much help! Xx
