As some of you had read I was induced on Wednesday and having a rough time of it! By 6pm Thursday my body was starting to shut down and the uncontrollable shaking had returned, there was no let up between contractions due to the shaking and my pulse was so iratic it was rising to meet peanuts heart rate!!
I was told I needed to have an epidural while I could to avoid being put to sleep if the decision was made to go to theatre!
It took them an hour and several attempts to get the epidural in the right place (my back now looks like a very braised dart board).
Once it was in place and had started to take a little effect at 8pm I was checked to see what progress had been made I was only 5cm!
At 8.40 I needed to push, mw kept telling me I wasn't ready and to hold on!
I demanded she examined me, it was a good job I did as I was fully dilated and peanuts head was showing!!!!
At 21.39 on the 10th October 2013 weighting 6lb 5oz peanut aka Lucy Rose was born!
