Fundal height, what is the implication of measuring too big at 23 weeks?

My midwife doesnt seem to be concerned but im measuring 27cm at 23 weeks which appears to be way above the 90% growth curve. As far as i can tell it should measure the same in cm as how many weeks you are plus or minus 2cm.

Hey. I'm now 39+2 and have always been way above the line on the chart. The funny thing is, to look at my bump looks small, everyone says so. I think different midwives measure differently and if one measured after the other both figures would be different. Also, some people's bumps seem to 'spread' to the sides when lying on their back whereas mine doesn't change whatever position I'm in. Basically I wouldn't worry. Ask the midwife what she thinks. Have you had a gestational diabetes test as a precaution? X

Hey, I wouldnt worry at the mo- sometimes bubs has early growth spurt and so bump is looking big. Just keep an eye on it over the next few times yoi get measured. I was over top line throughout pregnancy and got referred at 32 weeks for diabetes test and was negative. Saw doctor who said it was fine. Bubs just ended up on the big side

I think they worry about it more later on. I measured 41cm at 38 weeks and the midwife made me go back for another appointment a week later and I measured 40cm at 39 weeks! Different midwives.
