Can someone help av been having what I thought were Braxton hicks earlier last week which I thought were quite painful and were contractions but after been monitored at hospital were told are Braxtons hicks. However I am now experiencing much stronger pains not unbearable but stronger than before in my stomach like tightenings and pain in my back and side which I seam to get every 7 mins or so since about 5am this morning when am getting these pains baby is also moving around and keep getting the feeling I need a number 2 but I dont. Im due to have a c section on friday so don't want to labour my waters haven't broke but im worried these are contractions. Any info or advice would be appreciated thankyou.

Feeling scared now :-( xx

If Ur getting them that regularly then u def need to go back and get monitored again sounds like they could be.... especially as they are more painful don't panic if ur waters did go you would have an emergency section. .. that's what happened with my friend as Her baby was breech x

Ring your mau and tell them your pains have got more regular and keep a note of how long the pain lasts and how far apart the pains are as this will help your mau they may ask you to go up and bee examined to see but it sounds like your lo is ready to make his/her appearence good luck and keep us updated if poss xc

I am 29 week. My stomach gets also tight and like a solid rock. My tummy as well. Is that about baby movement maybe he leans towards. Are Braxtons hicks like period pain or how can i understand?

in reply to salmon_finland

That is braxton hicks what u are feeling...if it gets regular and painful then u should be checked out at maternity

Really.. Omg. Stomach pains lasts more than 2 hours. Solid tummy also. I dont have pain like period time. Is it still braxton hicks?

Is the pain constant or comes and goes? If it's constant pain then it's not contractions but u should always get pain checked out...I had constant pain for over 24 hours u couldn't touch my stomach add I was in so much pain in the end I had to go to hospital and it was an infection. .. so I would always say get it checked x

The pain lasts like 1-2 hours. Midwife said my stomach is solid. Braxton is like coming and going I think. Mine is like 2 hours or more..
