Is this your first baby? Statistically first babies take a little longer to make their move! Remember Middleton was 1 week overdue? I know it is stressful but before you know it, the little dude will join you. Try to relax and maybe try all the little joyful tricks for trying to make the baby make his appearance :-)

Oh dear

I can just about remember when i was ready to give birth to my son in 2008. He eventually decided to come out at 41+4 wks

Did the nurse / midwife who performed the sweep say anything about the engagement of the baby's head or anything ?

im sure if he still dosent make a move by next week you'll be offered an induction date but in the meantime just keep trying as much as you possibly can & you never know he might give up the fight in the end LOL!!

xx

Hi I agree with all the other ladies . I drank plenty of raspberry leaf tea as well as done what babymother has said I even used a birthing ball to and my son was born at 41+1 11 weeks ago come Thursday with my daughter who is coming up 4 year old I was exactly like yourself had a failed sweep I went to my local Indian restaurant and order the hottest thing on the menu and she decided to start to make an appearance hope your little dude makes an appearance soon

Don't be disheartened Hun. Baby is comfy and safe and warm and is getting everything he needs. I know going over 40 weeks is uncomfortable I've done it twice now but trust me take this time to chill and make sure your prepared . You may be surprised at some point. Or if you have to be induced get a date and look toward that to mentally guide you. Best of luck dear xx

Totally understand how you feel. After my failed sweep I left the hospital nearly in tears, baby will come when baby is ready mine was 15 days late. Worth the wait but I felt a bit like a failure being so overdue and everyone asking. Hang in there and be sarcastic when people who say no sign yet! That helped me a bit ;-) good luck and you are not alone! Sending you hugs!
