Need help feeling depressed
I'm so sorry your feeling like this. You are doing the right thing by trying to talk about it, most things can be figured out by talking it over. You could call the Samaritans their number is 08457 90 90 90 and you can also email them jo@samaritans.org. I really hope this helps. Please post again so we know you are ok. x
Agree with the above - the Samaritans are great. I would also really encourage you to make an appointment to see a GP, or at least confide in a friend, so things can be monitored.
Also, speak to your midwife, most maternity services have rapid access to either a specially trained 'mental health' midwife or to a psychologist.
It can be difficult, seeking help, but you've taken the biggest step in acknowledging there is a problem. Xxx
Samaritans seems a good way to go, but make sure you talk to your midwife, even if you phone them. I'm lucky now with my family and oh but when I was younger had issues which might have affected pregnancy and midwife put a flag on my notes in their computer system (not my hand held notes) so that if wanted or needed help was available. Its confidential and no one, not even another midwife will see it unless you wish to discuss it with them, and then they can refer you whenever you need help. They can refer you to councillors, specialised midwives, anything you need. You can even call the midwife triage if your feeling bad and they will be willing to help, they honestly don't mind, they'd rather you ask for help because stress is bad for the baby. At least that's what my midwife has said. hope you feel better soon x
