Just a wee update Due date was 19th June and had my best friends wedding on 22nd and due to be induced on 23rd due to high blood pressure and due date examination shown i was 2cms so was keen to meet my little man before then, Raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, curry, sex, the ball, walking.. i tried EVERYTHING under the sun to bring him on myself.. but nothing worked!
Got through my friends wedding, although it broke my heart as wev been best friends for 25 years, i decided against going to the reception as it was just to far away and i knew what i was in for on Sunday so needed rest..
Lying up watching Pineapple Express thinking about all the fun everyone was having and my waters broke.. at 11.45pm on the night of her wedding What a feeling.. one i hope to never feel again!! Anyway... rushed to hospital with a towel between my legs to be examined and told i was 3cms not in active labour yet
Was finally brought to my ward at 3am.. my partner was advised to go home, that i would still be induced in the morning.. well my little one had other ideas...
By 5am, still sucking away at the gas and air i was told to contact my partner, I was being brought to the labour ward!! Yay!!
Quick text message to him... and i was on my way I was 7cms by the time i got to the labour ward, too late for any kind of pain relief but i inhaled that gas and air like there was no tomorrow.. eventually making me very very sick
Anyhoo sorry for rambling on... At 7.38am on 23/06/13.. the little man i had grown and loved for the last 40 weeks entered the world Baby Aodhan.. all 9lb 3oz of him

Wow, what a lovely story. Im glad that you got to experience having the natural "spontaneous" birth as what I've heard from friends & other women being induced is not alot of fun as you can be quite restricted.
I like the way you mentioned after about 7cm dilated you were inhaling the gas & air like no tomorrow. LOL Love it!!

thanks everyone for all your lovely comments I have had so much support and advice in this community.. having had two miscarriages recently, its been an extremely worrying time... yet would do it again tomorrow
