Should I take my son the dr if I think he has slapped check?

Slap check is going around the nursery and I think my son might have it. He has a temp, Rosey cheeks and a rash on the lower legs and upper arms. When I am reading about it, it says to take him if he has a very high temp. What should I do?

It's a virus so he won't be given antibiotics but you will need a blood test to make sure u already have immunity....as it can be dangerous for ur baby, I think over a certain amount of weeks it's fine and most adults are immune as we have had it as a child...I had mine done as my boy had slapped check a couple of months ago x

You can alternate the calpol and nurefen every 2 hours to bring his temp down(thats what the hosp said when my little boy had tonsilitus at 15 months) strip him down to his vest. I dont know what slapped check is but maybe ring your midwife and ask her advice for you being pregnant.
