i am 5 weeks pregnant can i eat a slice of cheesecake?

Yes :-) cream cheese is safe in pregnancy so long as its pasteurised (I've never even seen un-pasteurised cream cheese!) so enjoy your treat!

The NHS site is pretty handy is you're not sure what foods aren't considered safe - nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy...

My thoughts are if you fancy eating something "bearing in mind its not raw or gone bad" EAT IT. I believe at times the NHS & other medical surveys can unessesarly scare pregnant womens into thinking we should stay away from simple foods such as "cream cheese"

Hell yes! Possibly two slices... get in there in case you can't eat in a couple of weeks time! Any cheese which is processes and/or made with pasteurised milk is good. Generally hard cheeses are good. Think it is mouldy/rinded cheeses and soft ones which are the problem. x

Yes! ! I'm meeting friends for lunch tmw and treating myself the honey comb cheesecake from prezzo yumma yumma :)
