Medication for fibromyalgia

Hello has anyone tried Meloxicam was given with Omeprazole to protect my stomach

Muddle , sorry you have had to wait with no replies! I just saw this.

I have taken Meloxicam after surgery several times in the last few years. I did not take Omeprazole but took it with food. I did not notice any effect on fibromyalgia.

I haven't heard of this drug, I must say. I will have a read up on it :0) Have you found them helpful? and what symptoms do you feel they help the most? I am always interested to hear about medical breakthroughs, and suggestions from other sufferers, so thank you fibro friend! :0)

It is an NSAID, has been around for awhile. Has a trade name but I don't remember it right now. It is for pain and inflammation. As with all NSAIDS, it can cause stomach upset or bleeding. Works best if taken regularly as with other NSAIDS. I don't like taking NSAIDS long term because of health risks eg heart attack and stroke. I don't know the particulars with meloxicam with regard to side effects.

Yes it didnt work for me but no two fibros are the same.
