Hi,

I am so sorry for you. I am recently diagnosed, and it is hell even on medication. Dr. is doing her level best to try to get me relatively pain free. Get a doctor who understands you and the condition.

You would seek help from a rheumatologist

Hello! Well your doctor should have a treatment plan for you with medication I take gabapentin and a anti depressant plus Norco it's a great cocktail of meds but it's what works for me

I wish you luck in know it's so hard

GP: (who understands FM)

Rheumatologist: (As above!)

Both should Start you on a Regimen of Drugs that will Alleviate (not cure !) Pain and help you Sleep.

Physiotherapy: For help with everything from walking (it's not as simple as you think !) to Lifting things to Sleeping Positions. Also Exercises to try and get/keep you Supple. And Relaxation for sleep.

This Site: For Help, Answers to questions and Support - especially when you believe you are going Mad because people don't understand what you're going through !

The Internet: I found WebMD quite useful personally and Any Fibromyalgia Group - On-line or better yet Local.

Apart from that, my own - and doubtless everyone heres, very Best Wishes and Hopes that you will have success with everything you need to Help you from now on! Regards and Remember; You are Not Alone; You are a Human Being deserving of all the respect and help of anyone with a Chronic Illness👍
