Hi, I'm new here having been diagnosed with polymyositis just before Christmas. I experienced muscle weakness and inflammation from early 2021 until being admitted into hospital, when at that point I had difficulty walking, getting dressed, climbing stairs and getting out of a chair. Have had a great hospital team who have gone out of their way to find a diagnosis and start recovery. I would definately recommend keeping a positive attitude. Nice to meet you.

Hope all went well today. I was treated by being admitted into hospital and the team assessing what was wrong and working back to a diagnosis. This included, MRI's, gastroscopies, CT's, PET scan, muscle biopsy, ultrasounds, barium swallows and other tests. I am now on a fair bit of medication and undergoing physio and regular blood tests. Good luck.
