Leslie
this is wonderful...so glad you are able to ...such a great feeling ....love and happiness..
Well done Leslie, do a mile for me, please, never give up, keep going, you are an inspiration 👏👏👏👏
I don't go on for a long time, since I also walk every day.
I really miss my walking, Razor and I used to walk 5 miles everyday.
I really want to get back into walking again. Just kind of hard since where we live now does not have sidewalks and people coming flying down the roads in the vehicles
You can drive your car to an area close by that hassidewalks and you can also walk many steps in your house.
Unfortunately, I don't drive anymore due to dizziness all the time Haven't driven since 2008 when I had my last bad relapse.
You are so rightly proud of your accomplishment! Good job! You make me recall rjoneslaw's accomplishments with the MS gym.
I'm curious to understand just how your use of the eliptical trainer or my use of my dinky rowing machine leaves such good feeling behind. When I row (and I'm only up to 8 minutes now), my brain goes quiet. focused on the back and forth, up and down. This action, simple as it is, stretches muscles I am evidently not able to stretch by myself. The first few times I rowed, I stopped at 4 minutes because thigh muscles in both legs were spasming. Now, my muscles seem to have adapted; they no longer spasm. So I wonder if the activity is creating new neural pathways coming bottom up as it were, the signal originating in the muscle then traveling to the brain, rather than the usual way the impulse travels.
Great news! Thank you for letting us know. I’m hoping to do the same today
Great news and happy for you🙏🏾
You’re welcome🙏🏾
Congratulations!
Good for you! I agree, it feels great to excerise. 👍
I'm not much for exercising, but I do love to dance. since MS entered my world I don't get to do it much. I understand that exercising is important for us to do. We have a small gym in our basement that I don't really use. The most I use is the bike. My other half bought me a nintendo switch, I put it up on the tv so its big enough and I bowl. I love it. I'm stretch, using my harms up and down and my legs. I act as if I'm really bowling and put my all into it. Its fun for me and it works me out. I also do other sports on there also. If i had to do it myself I wouldn't stick to it, so I found something that makes it fun for me so that I can keep exercising. This weekend I crushed my daughter, my son and his girlfriend. My first bowl was a strike.
😁 I wasn't even trying to, I was showing them how to use it. We all have fun, my son and his girlfriend had came to visit it from Vegas. He is Metro Police there and she is going to school to be a nurse. I enjoyed their visit, it was much to short. It was her first time on the east coast. She loved all the greenery.
Good for you! The last time I got on one I thought I was going to die afterward!🤣 Keep it up if you can it's great exercise.🤗
I understand what you are saying since I had a treadmill which was a miserable experience for me since I can’t walk well ever. I bought an elliptical machine recently and what a difference. Also, last week my husband bought me a recumbent bike. It was amazing and I cried since I have not ridden a bike for at least 10 years. It gave me the feeling of freedom that I am able to move outdoors independently and with success.
