And I don't even know what happened! Yikes! Except that I had 3days of prednisone, then saw my neurologist. Then the next day he wants me in the hospital.😐 He even got my daughter on a conference call to make me! Ugh! What's up with that?
Anyway, another 2 days of Solu-Medrol, and an MRI. To show that it was/is Optic Neuritis and not a blood clot. A WHAT? No clue about that!!! Probably a good thing they didn't tell me about that!!!🙁
So now I'm home, tapering off the steroids! My eye is doing Alot better now!! Thank goodness!

Wow! Of my 7 bouts with optic neuritis over the years, that sounds like the most overdone, .... no?, now that I'm thinking?, I do that once in a while, quick before it's gone,...yes, I had one hospital stay with essentially the same treatment, and a story, but that was the time I was given my diagnosis for what was going on,... not the Optic Neuritis, already did that once before with a different neurologist who back then used a laser pointer and a ball about the size of a volleyball painted black to map out my vision loss ,...basement bargain neurologist equipment?.. ... diagnosis, but because of the Big M.S.
I should have just called my eye doctor 🤣 I'm telling ya! But my neurologist told me to call him if it happened again. So I did. And cause of George, and and all that, guess he wanted to make sure? All those nerves connect to 'im. I'm just glad to be home!!! 🤗💕🌠
I learned this after maybe the 2nd or third time, neurologists want to treat, treat, treat. Ophthalmologists want to wait and let it run it's course saying the drugs do permanent damage to the eye. I just let them run their course from some point on.
So pleased for you that it wasn't a blood clot. Optic Neuritis not great but treatable. It's great that you are back home to complete your recovery. Fantastic news!🥳🥳🥳

Good to hear you're home & doing better. Optic Neuritis was my initial problem. I did the solumedrol as an out patient.(4 hours for 3 days. There was a women in the next bed having some kind of IV therapy & her husband was sitting with her. We started to talk & I told them I was getting steroids for a vision problem. His wife told him to go ahead & go get some lunch, and his response had everyone in the room laughing. He told her wanted to wait & see if I was going to turn into the Hulk! I didn't, but the steroids worked! 😁
