My first relapse during this lovely Covid 19 time

Hi everyone, hope you are doing well! I'm having my first relapse after being diagnosed February 2019- numb, buzzy hands! I feel very fortunate it's not serious, still have grip. I'm already off work per my doctor due to my medication and now add 10 days prednisone, so at least I'm home! It's not painful, just annoying!! Hope everyone stays safe during this uncertain time, have a great day!!

I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this, but it will pass! As you say, you are at home! It doesn't speak well for your Meds, does it! Stay safe, Shorty!

Lol, thank you so much for your reply! I'm on Aubagio, which I didn't think made me immunosuppressant, but my Neurologist disagrees. But I'm home with my Mom and 2 teenage daughters, provides for some real good family time! I've got it pretty good! Hope you are doing well!

That's great! Enjoy the family time and togetherness, and let your Mom and daughters pamper you a bit. I always got a big energy boost from the steroids and would clean the whole house or dig up the yard or something crazy like that!

Haven't had a relapse in many years, so haven't had any.....Take care and have a wonderful day with your family!

I secretly love Prednisone, I think it's a miracle drug! Stay safe and stay well!

Shorty, Your Love prednisone will change in time and after you received dose after dose of it. Your attitude is great. I'm glad you have found and joined our chat room since I haven't spoken to you before. I want to say hello and welcome you to our extended family. We promise to always provide you with a safe place were you can come voice your concerns, ask questions, or simply speak to others to truly understand what you're going through. As I tell everyone I'm sure there is much we can learn from each other so I can't wait to get to know you better. Until we speak again please take care and isolation yourself as much as possible. MS, being an autoimmune disease chronically lowers your immune system. This makes us become much more susceptible to infection like the Coronavirus. And when you have MS getting an infection or anything that gives you a temperature, it set your MS off and it's like the infection is on steroids. So be careful, stay away from crowds, and lock yourself in your house, if at all possible, till this pandemic goes away. Seriously though, misery loves company and I just want you to be as miserable as everybody else in the chat room who already locked themselves away to become less of the target for the Coronavirus.

So until we speak again please be careful, stay safe, and remember together we are stronger and we are never alone, we are alone together! Fancy.

Sorry to hear that! I would stay isolated for several weeks after your steroids are done. Hope you feel better already! 🎉

Thank you joining in the conversation. I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but it’s something we all share.

Please take extra good care of yourself, especially right now. Most of us are home a lot anyway, but it makes it easier to share, laugh, and vent with one another here.
