This morning my heart is heavy. On Saturday my father, passed away. He was battling lung cancer. Just found out January of 2019. It was a tuff year, we were both diagnosed ( me with PPMS) and in and out of the hospital all year long. We stuck together. My father served during the Vietnam war. He was great man. We were very close. He was my heart of hearts. My family is worried about me doing everything with my health issues. I been walking with my father from the begining , I'm not going to leave him now. I must admit I am extremely wore out. I'm greatful you guys are here for me. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.😥

I am so so sorry for your loss. I will of course keep you & your family in my prayers. I will also add a special prayer of thanks to your Dad as I raise & lower my flag every day. Be brave, be strong...you've got this. Again...my deepest sympathy.
The loss of a daughters father is painful whenever it happens. I am sorry that you are suffering this loss in such a time as this. Be strong, remember the good times with your dad, and to have survived Vietnam he was a strong man. Blessings Jimeka 🤗
I am so very sorry for your loss and your Father’s death. As an Army Veteran myself, just being a Vietnam Vet speaks so much of your Father. My Father was cruelly taken from before I was 15yrs. old & I’d like to think I was close to him. You will get through this; he will never leave you as long as you remember him. That’s what our Memories are for. (You and I both have MS and that’s just part of our life; it does not define who we are. )
Thank you Midnight-Blue, my dad was such a Soldier to the end. I watched him fight a good fight until the day he died. He taught me Never Give Up! And to take good care of self! Again, Thank you.
i am so sorry ...it is a really sad day when we loose our father he is our rock ...always there for us ...wow ....make sure you take care of yourself ,he would want you to be very strong ...you were there for him and he will be watching over you from heaven and he wouldn't want you to be so sad that you aren't taking care of yourself and he is now free from all of the pain from the cancer ....her will walk along side of you now ...love and much happiness to you and all of the family to deal with this great lose and the great love from him...be strong and many prayers for help dealing with his lose to you ....
Christina49 I deeply feel for your great loss. When a great pillar of a person is missing from our life there is an obvious void. I pray that God fills your void. By no means will he ever be replaced, but the wonderful memories will smooth the sharp edges of his loss.

I cannot imagine your loss or pain at this terrible time, especially with limited funeral facilities. How my heart goes out to you. Let Jesus hold your hand - there is where you will find peace. As your father once held your small hand, just feel the hand of Jesus holding your hand, then Gods big hand wrapped around both those hands. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Christina, as long as you remember your father he will never be far away.
Continue to take walks with your father. He will be there besides you brushing the insect from your arm, lifting the branch out of her way with a gentle breeze matching you stride for stride like he always has.
When a problem weighs heavily on your heart and your mind has been ripe with indecisiveness for days on end and then suddenly the answer becomes crystal clear as you walk down the path with your dad besides you. It's your dad that has gently placed the answer in your mind as he always has been you're wise and gentle Soldier, ever helpful to you.
The week has been long and the stress of the week has sapped all your reserves fŕom your mind, body, and soul. When sweat beads on your brow and peace is far from your mind, you find yourself tripping down the path because your mind is a thousand miles away on your troubles and suddenly your stride becomes steady and you swear there's a light touch on your arm. It's your dad's reaching out to steady you. Out of nowhere a gentle breeze softly flows across your brow gently blowing the sweat from your forehead it's your dad wiping you're brow and easing your weary soul.
Tiime will ease the pain from your soul. Until it does and long after it is finished remember the good times with your father. His gentle ways and his loving embraces and he will always be standing right next to you. He will continue to provide wisdom and guidance when you need it the most. His favorite old sayings will become your own. One day it will hit you and you will laugh when you realize you're starting to sound just like your dad . But in your case it isn't a cause for merriment. It's a tribute to your dad, a great warrior, and a gentle soul. Smile when you think of your soldier and and I pray you smile often.

My father died years ago me and my dad were extreamly close
Wow, Losing my dad is hard enough, my parents have been married 56 years. He is all she knew. It is really scary. But I'm praying we make it threw this. Mom jasseveral medical conditions as well. Thank you Erash.
My dad died on their 64th anniversary. My mom was lost after that. They married when she was 17. I am so grateful that I was at my fathers bedside but 💔 I couldn’t be with my mom at the end 😢
For me, loss of my parents is life altering. I think of them always and wear a dog tag with mom’s thumb print on 1 side and dad’s on the other. The dog tag is on a chain next to my tag from the army.
While I wish I could spend 1 more minute with them, not now. I am grateful they are not at risk with this pandemic.

Thank you Atlproctor, I am indeed a Believer in Christ. What gives me comfort is knowing he is with Him. I know I will see him again if I stay on the path that God has for me.
I am so, so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you. It sounds like you and your Dad had a very special relationship. May the memories of him and your times together sustain you in your grief. Remember that he is, and always will be, a part of who you are and you will have that always.
So sorry for your loss. I lost both my parents a few years back. It's going to take a while. What am I saying, you don't get over it, but it does get better.

So sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose your father. I lost mine about 17 years ago. We were very close too. You will get through this hard time. You have good memories, keep them close to your heart. It's hard to be thankful when we lose someone close but if you can, be thankful that he is no longer suffring. Praying for peace for you and your family.
