Cataract surgery & MS impact on vision

It's been magical: I just had cataract surgery on my right eye on Monday. And since then I no longer need glasses - short & long distance. Whoohoo

The right eye happens to be the one that triggered the MS diagnosis (double vision) and whose nerve is most impacted by MS. I also thought the floaters in right eye were due to MS. Now they're all gone. No double vision in any part of my vision field. I'll have to talk to both the eye doctor and neuro on whether this makes sense. But I'll take it!

I would LOVE to get rid of the floaters in my eyes. According to the eye doctor I have a large amount. He didn't need to tell me. I have these blurry spaces all the time. Drives me nuts.

That's fantastic news, anaishunter Enjoy your new outlook on life! Keep Smiling :-D

Wow this sounds kind of like how my episodes start. With the right eye and then struggling to see out of it. And floaters! And then it passes and I’m back to normal except for the floaters. They’re always present. I definitely had to save your thread. Thanks for sharing and I’m so glad this is working for you. I know you are so happy right now. Enjoy this success. I wish you well. Ang🙃

I'll ask the eye surgeon next week whether he would have expected floaters to be gone and will let the group know. Same for the slight double vision that was left behind from my MS diagnosis - gone! (double vision typically shows back when I have 2+ glasses of wine. I've not tested that and have no immediate plans to test for it).
