Update on day 5 of mavenclad

After post this evening and telling you all about how well I am doing I have sore throat. It's very red and hurting bad with some bumps on 1 side. Also my glands are swollen. This is something that I might have gotten anyway but I am concerned that the treatment for it will be different. I call MS life lines and talked to a nurse and she said that I should get to the doctor asap to stay on top of this. And to let my neurologist know. I will keep you posted on this development

I am my pcp his office opens up at 7:30 am and neurologist opens up at 8am. Will keep you posted

Please tell us how things go. I will send up prayers and good thoughts. I just hate a sore throat. I mentioned it in an earlier post today, but will here. My whole family drinks a wonderful, delicious, natural tea called Throat Coat which I buy at either Walmart or the grocery store. It is in bags and only about $4 a box. It is cold here this morning, I think I will have some tea, it is so good I drink it all the time and boy, it sure soothes your throat. Let us know how you are doing. Love, Kelly

oh my i am so sorry ...hopefully it isn't connected to the treatment ....love and be careful ...oh had you been around any children that have come down sick...i really try to stay away from the little ones that are sick or just sniffles...take care ...

I wasn't around any sick children. And before I started treatment I didn't go out much. The day I start treatment I was at my churches office and went to choir practice. I only went out twice to Walmart during treatment and early in the morning when less people are there. The day the sore throat started I did go to church but that was all I did. I will do my best to stay away from anyone that is sick and I am doing my best. You take care also

i know it is hard to not go out but with this new treatment it might be something to ask the doctor about if you are more apt to get sick with your resistence is down during this new drug...any way we can not always know where we picked it up ...take care ..

Have you been talking to Bob lol he doesn't want me going out much and if I do wear a mask and then use hand sanitizer and wash my hands and face as soon as I get back in the house. Thank you for your concern and advice I appreciate very much. It's good to have some one that understands
