Is insomnia which contributes to over all function and its organs a symptom of MS?How many of us sleep less than 4 hrs a night or cant get to sleep at all.

Between spacticity, pain, headaches, and bladder control, sleep is definitely the most mentally straining things that keep me up at night or for days!

I have a terrible case of insomnia and find myself falling asleep many times throughout the day whether I want to or not. Fattius says it all for me- I have all of the same issues. Lately I've found I suffer from dizziness whenever I do wake up.

I used to , but because of the meds I take I've lost all my teeth and wear dentures now -oooh purty thought ain't it lol

Come to think of it I wasn't able to get to sleep last night until 7 this morning then woke up 4 hours later. I'm with kdali - I'll be guarding my sleep like a lifeline... in other words Like a WARRIOR! An MS Warrior!

Yeah I have your issue. :(

You can try seeing a physician to prescribe sleeping meds if it’s really bothering you

I face the absolute opposite with an average sleep time of 9h - 9h 30. The good news is that it's the same as prior to O but now when I wake up, I'm ready to go through the day. Lethargy is mostly gone (until I overwork or overexercise).

I’ve had insomnia for all sorts of reasons. I can’t function on 4hrs of sleep, so I learned to guard my sleep like it was my lifeline. Most recently my insomnia episode has been related to reduced activity during the day from being sick, and I have to work hard before it’s going to get better. There’s a lot that can contribute to poor sleep hygiene and having a chronic debilitating disease makes it easier to not be able to have good sleep habits. I have to go now, it’s past my screen time limit already 😴

I take a Benadryl an hour before bed. It helps a lot.

Ya i dont sleep with my man. I just cant do it. I have my own room with good sheets, a sound machine that i cant live without, a fan, air purifier, and my dogs. No hairy snoring man to disrupt me
