If "YOU" are doing subcutaneous injections, that is little needles under the skin, and getting injection site reactions. Inject into a fatty area, use a hot or cold pack after to decrease the redness. I found a light rub also very handy. My aim always was to move that medicine around into the body, so just gentle was good. If I was making a dent in my skin it was too hard.
Having said that why are "YOU" doing self-injections? There are medicines out there that are one per day and twice daily tablets. As I have said I do twice daily tablets. I have no financial interest in them, just find a 12-hour schedule very easy, oh and I really do not like needles after 10 or so years of every other day I have had a butt full of them.
