The Heat, and something new; has any else ever experienced ringing in the ear?

This is my first time. I'm a "newbie" to the site and was diagnosed with MS Relapsing Remitting eleven years ago. Battling hot weather, rain humidity and this annoying ringing in my ear(?). Actually noticed it once before and it went away, it's back again with a vengeance!

It's been a while since I had a MRI - but other than this weird alien ringing (humor..."this world need a little) I've been exacerbation free. Honestly, a little worried, little doctor "burn - out too."

NeeC, very welcome to our wonderful family.😍😁 I am no Doc. But i did come from the medical field. Now, sometimes our ringing in the ears, is caused by our smart meters outside our homes, or Hyperelectrosenitivity, from Wifi, our smart phones & all the towers around us, i have noticed ringing in my ears frim using them too much!😡😠& sometimes we need to get. Away from it. But how?! It is everwhere, just keep a strict M.S. good natural, organic diet, as organic as we can get, & it helps me alot.👍😍💛💙💗😘😁Prayers🙏& Blessings for ya!---Jazmine💜🌹Rose

It may be totally unrelated to your MS. I know several people with chronic ringing in their ears (tinnitus) who do not have MS. Lots of things cause it including being around loud noise on a regular basis. I would recommend seeing your primary medical doctor for evaluation. Good luck!

Hi stepsforNeeC welcome to the community!😊

Quick reminder no one here is qualified to give you ANY KIND OF DX so Plz talk to your health care team!

That being said, ahrogers could be right as I also have the none stop. Going nuts drive you to the brink of Insanity tinnitus.😕

They told me, good luck.😒

The only time I experienced ringing in my ears is when I was having a lot of pain and taking Celebrex for it. I quit taking the Celebrex and the ringing went away. Now I only take it for short periods of time. Good luck! I know it’s annoying😕

StepsforNeeC, it's Fancy1959. First I needed to welcome you to this incredible chat room. You're now part of our family. We promise to provide you with a safe place to come and seek information, voice concerns, or simply speak to others who truly understand what you are going through.

Each and every person affected by this monster we are all fighting have slightly different issues in slightly different battles they face on a day-to-day basis. The only time I have had ringing in my ears for as a technical term goes tinnitus was when I had a severe sinus and ear infection and the ear infection got so great in my right ear it blew out my right ear drum. After my eardrum was compromised I experienced the ringing in my ears for the first time in my life. And boy did I hate it! It lasted for about 3 to 4 weeks until my eardrum started to heal enough that it helped to stop the tinnitus from ringing in my ear. I felt death half the time because I had a hard time hearing past the ringing and people had to get fairly close to me before I could hear what they were telling me. It was truly a unique and distasteful experience for me.

If it's a new symptom and you haven't told your doctor yet it's a good idea to schedule an appointment and get in to see your doctor. Perhaps they can do something to help you.

I look forward to speaking to you again and please take care until we do. Also remember that together we are stronger! Fancy.

Welcome to the group. I get the ringing in the ears on occasion. It's unrelated to MS though. I've been prone to severe ear infections when the humidity gets really high during summer since I was a very small child. The ringing comes and goes with the infections.

You should get checked by a doctor to see if you have an infection or tinnitus.

Welcome! I am fairly new to ms but the ringing in the ears has been with me all the time for the past 3 months. It started (as far as I can tell) right after my 2nd MRI (that 2nd MRI was so uncomfortable that I almost question whether it triggered new symptoms for me).

Neuro said it can happen with ms, and come and go just like all the other symptoms. But get checked as it might be totally unrelated to ms.

The worst is always at bedtime as it's the only noise around. I found that if I'm anxious, stressed, unsettled it gets worse. Meditation helps a lot.
