Sharon G – Fort Worth, TX

About the Artist:

"The first time I realized I had passion for art was when I made a pastel drawing of a horse at 11 years old. Since then I’ve dabbled in woodworking, painting, cake decorating, drawing, sculpture and crocheting.

Over the years though, I’ve gotten away from participating in my own creative activities due to working full time, being Mom to my 2 wonderful boys and trying to cope with confusing symptoms. After finally being diagnosed with MS in 2016, I realized my physical and cognitive abilities weren’t the same as they used to be. I started feeling a creative longing but didn’t have much motivation or know where to begin. A little inspiration from my husband this year reignited my passion once again."

Yes, a little. I’ve found that taking one tablet when I get up during the night to use restroom, I take One tablet and it starts the day with a little less tingling.

Isn't the artwork from this month's featured artist so great?!

We stretch out our year-long Art Showcase to Jan & Feb, since we debut the new one each year during March MS Awareness Month. So that's why you might still see "2017" in the links and copy.

Speaking of...March is just around the corner, so get ready for a whole new Art Showcase and more great art from artists with MS next month!

CalfeeChick: Appreciate your posts. I was not able to respond to your reply to my post on Ocrevus. I did feel a bit stronger for a while but the last month or so was much weaker and having balance problems. Keep up the good work! God bless.

Hi Yooper, I had my first full dose of Ocrevus in October. I have had the same experience of feeling stronger, but now feeling weaker, with more balance issues. I’m due for my second full dose in April. keeping good thoughts for this new drug. I will talk to my neuro on Monday about my increased leg weakness. Best to you, Linda
