Rough days

I hate when I have days where i feel so helpless. Horrible migraines crazy dizziness and its a chore to just move. I am supposed to have guests over for the first time in forever and I dont have it in me to clean or cook. My little ones will be so disappointed as they've been looking forward to this game night for 2 weeks. I called out of work today hoping that this would pass if i take a pain killer and lay still. I dont know what else to do. Laying in this dark quiet room hoping to feel better isnt working. Just frustrated and wanted to vent.

Have you been to a pain specialist 🤷🏼‍♂️ Might be a answer to migraines 🤷🏼‍♂️ Prayers are with you and hope you get better soon 👍🙏🙏 Ken

Candycherry1986 You are in my thoughts and prayers for healing and finding relief for those migraines. I wish I had more help to offer. I've heard along the way that caffeine or Dark Chocolate may help. We all love chocolate! Talking with your neuro or as Kenu suggested seeing a pain specialist. Just remembered botox has some beneficial results.. Definitely talk with a medical professional. Hope you make it through game night and the all including the kiddos have a good time.

Candycherry1986 there is nothing worse than a migraine, I sympathise. I suffered a lot when I was younger, sickness, dark rooms, it was awful. But then I was having trouble with my sinuses so I had acupuncture and I had no more migraines. I had my first migraine in 30 years last week and you never forget what they are like. I always got them on the left side of my head, and I found having a cold flannel on the back of my neck, helped take the attention away from it. I hope by now you are feeling better and your children got to enjoy the evening. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈 🤗

Thank you. The pain has eased up a lot from earlier. We postponed everything for a week . my fingers are crossed that im having a good day then. Definitely looking into acupuncture. No migraines for anytime let alone 30 years sound like a fairytale

We have to remain active as long as we can. But why cook athough, I know standing in one place is even more painful and if you can get some easy trays of food already made up by WM or another store? Maybe crock pot tender some type of meat and barbecue sauce it. I buy a big bag of meatballs and dump them in the crockpot with a bottle of barbecue sauce or order pizza (Domino’s has a special) I think, maybe add a small cheese tray as they will be paying more attention to the game than the shape of your house or the food you serve. They probably would rather have you in less pain.

Thanks. I postponed the gathering and wont be doing much cooking next time unless I have someone here to help prep. I love to cook especially for friends and family when we gather but its something I will have to do when i can.

I used to love to cook for family and friends and even take on out of state family but they come now, they take care of themselves. I get so stressed at cooking now, that I can’t think.
