If you're traveling, I hope that means you are feeling much better, Midgey_Midge06 !

Are you flying or driving? If driving, allow time for frequent stretch and potty stops. Pack water and any other comfort items (pillow, blanket, gloves if your hands get cold, etc).

If flying, arrive plenty early. Running late can add to your stress and you don't need any additional stress. If you need help or are a slow walker, arrange for a wheelchair. Even if you don't use a wheelchair, board early when they make the call for those needing extra time due to health, small children, etc. If you need to use the restroom frequently, you may want to choose an aisle seat near a bathroom. I always purchase a bottle of water once I am through security so I can take my pills or take a swallow of water whenever needed. And if you walk, watch what type of handcarry luggage you bring. Make it easiest on yourself: a backpack? a rolling small carry on? And don't forget to pack your meds in your carry on!

I hope you have a wonderful trip!!!💞

We were gonna to drive to Arkansas for thanksgiving but now we are figuring we will be going to Dallas for my moms funeral. She is in hospice care right now. I am trying to stay in my stress free bubble and not let it get to me.

Oh, dear friend, I am so very sorry. My prayers for you and your family...and prayers for your health during all of this. I hope your Thanksgiving provides moments of joy and thankful memories despite the circumstances. Sending you a gentle hug. 💐💝

She has Alzheimer's so we knew this was coming for awhile. It still sucks but she will be in a better place.

Thank u for the travel tips. Its a 3 hour drive and i am overwhelmed with the idea of packing.

When I travel anywhere I always get a wheelchair. It’s on my boarding pass so I don’t have any problems when I check in. When you book your flight tell them you’re disabled and need a chair

It also helps with the TSA line if you're not approved

You get wheeled to the gate you board 1st You get help with your luggage when you reach your destination

So much good advice already, I wish you safe and peaceful travels. As cruel as Alzheimer’s can be, it’s always filled with sadness when you lose a loved one. Hold the good memories in your heart 💜. Blessings, Lynn
