Neuro yesterday

I saw my neuro yesterday. She was excited to see how strong I've gotten! (Thanks to PT and gym.) I told her how my husband lost his temper about me forgetting something so she's having me go to the neuropsyche (again) for more testing. It seems like the end of each year I'm seeing him for more testing.

So in other words, my body's not bad but my mind is going...

I had the "initial" testing done last year. I knew I was losing memory and felt I was getting stupider. He sais, after testing, that I wasn't getting stupid but my brain was like a computer and was "buffering". A lot of it was them reading a short story and you had to tell back what you remembered. I had a full test which had some fine motor testing and arranging colored squares to make into a picture shown. It was really interesting! There was also a paper test for me to see how I thought.

mrsmike9 first of all well done on the strength all your hard work is paying off. Secondly, does your husband never forget? I have lived with a husband, 2 sons, 1 son in law, and 2 grandsons, for quite awhile now. I find that men are naturally forgetful. They get thinking about something else and just forget. We all do it, so please don't make too much of it. Let us know how you get on with your tests. I have never heard of those before, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈 🤗

It really made me angry and yelled, "You forget everything!" I felt like I'd been slapped. But it also told me that my memory must be deteriorating for him to do that as he's not that kind of person.

So glad to hear the PT and gym work are paying off in additional strength. Perhaps you could print out some research about the MS Symptoms and especially about the memory part. I did that for my hubby and he did read it and of course he told me that he knew allot more than I thought he did.. Golf buddies fill him with their friend's or a family member's experience. The point is he did read it and has become more patient. I think we all have memory issues and especially a little more as we grow older.

Between age and MS, it's a wonder I can think at all!!!

Hope my pt works as well as yours. At this point ill trade some memory for my legs back. Which I don't have much of either that I can lose. Lol.
