My father in law has MS and is taking tecfidera being paid for by a manufacturer grant. I have been told if he goes on hospice he must stop taking this drug. Is there another drug that Medicare will take under hospice that works as well?

Thanks

Petemurphy001 An assisted living or nursing home may be more of what he needs. Talk with his doctor if you are allowed. If someone goes on or into hospice it means that the person is near the end. Hospice is set up to make sure someone's last days are as pain free and comfortable as possible. To that end, no medicines except pain meds (usually) are given. If your father-in-law is not expected to die soon then hospice is not the appropriate place for him.
