Shoe question

Ok, to start, my feet have been in various states of numb & tingling since June of 2016. I have slippers and Sketchers that I can wear, but all seem to activate the tingling up my legs. I have gone up a full size just to wear these. I would love to find some athletic shoes that I can wear. Any suggestions? My Asics brand drive my legs crazy just walking around the block.

My feet and legs burn if I'm sitting still or cold regardless of shoes. Sometimes I have to go outside for a few minutes for relief...then of course the rest of me is too hot 😳

CalfeeChick , My Physical Therapist recommended Asics Gel twenty years ago and that is the only shoe I wear. Are you wearing Asics or Asics Gel?

Asics Gel are the only ones I've ever worn. Have 3 pairs that I rotate use.. Heartbreaking that even with laces loosened, they still are very uncomfortable. Thinking maybe go try on upper sizes and see how they feel..

Hi Calfeechick. One of the solutions I figure out is not about the size of the sneakers is better change the width to more large than the regular shoes. Needs to be wide shoes not regular for the bones in our feet get more comfortable

Also I bought some gel pads to use in all my shoes, I have a collection, depends of the style of what I going t wear to be very comfortable. Because of this, all my shoes are half size bigger and wider than before. Also I do not buy flat shoes. It has to have comfortable insole and some layers of foam to absorve the impact of the weight. No cheap shoes. Get good quality, without buying high price at Marshall, or Macy's, or any others selling comfortable shoes.

One more detail I figure out. If you search for hicking sneakers they are absolutely comfortable and light weight to be used 24/7 for those in adventure. The construction is very comfortable, wide, good material, strong and soft for do not hurt our feet for long time walking, hicking. I have 2 pairs of hicking sneakers and they are great fit, better than the sport. Also it has difference when the sneakers are for training, running, etc. I checked all. I have a collection of sneakers now, some of them fancy enought to go out because it does not have lace.

CalfeeChick , I wear similar to Miriade . Sneakers as you call them. They are running shoes without the laces. I have a pair that I wear as slippers, so comfortable. They have a cushioned sole, and are designed for comfort. I got mine from Amazon, called Diva. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈 🤗

My FAV will always be Birkenstock... Unfortunately, I've only got old worn out sandels, but I really want the shoes... Mostly I run around with no shoes in my house and really loosely tied Sketchers at all other times. Shoes are always my nemeses and I don't think there is a magic solution for me as I've been trying to find one in my 30+ year battle with the MonSter...

I've had numbness and tingling of the feet for so many years, it's the new norm for me. It's nothing compared to when the feet start burning at night. You can get used to numbness and tingling. Really, no big deal! Shoes, now you can buy the cheapest shoes and be just fine! I do 10K steps daily in my $10 gym shoes from Walmart. Have now for years. From what I've learned, there's not much hope of fixing that. The burning feet....another story. I've thought about cutting my feet off how many sleepless nites totally exhausted & in big time pain. That there's a symptom cure for. Not conventiona drugs, tried them all. CBD does it instantly! Try to get used to the new norm of numbness and tingling. You do learn to balance other ways without feeling feet. And numbness and tingling you learn to ignore!

my best bet so far are a pair of Brooks transcend from almost three years ago, a bit pricey but I wear them a lot, have washed them and they,re almost like new. also wear asics but the recent ones are a disappointment for me and I have to return them. who knew how important shoes would become!

CalfeeChick one place I have had success is at a store here called New Balance, I think they are nationwide. They take every measurement you can imagine of your feet, computerize info, and help you find the best shoe. Pricey but totally worth it. We did it for my mom when she started getting Alzheimer's (before she got bad) her feet hurt all the time. We spent $100 on sneakers for her and she just loved them. Good luck, I hope you find something comfy! Kelly 💕
