Strange thoughts at 2 A. M.

I've no idea why I woke suddenly at 2 in the morning thinking I needed to name my cane.

Abel (Able!)

greaterexp mine is called Gravity, named by my Grandson Harry when I first got it 6 years ago. It's green with different coloured butterflies 🦋 on it. He named it Gravity as it helps me defy gravity, as gravity is always making me fall down. This cane is special, as he was only 3 at the time. I like the name Abel, as it is going to make you more Abel. Let us know what you decide. I also have a brown one made of wood, also covered in butterflies 🦋 that I use in the garden and I have a purple one which was a fashion statement for my daughters wedding, mother of the bride , I had to look cool 😎. It is covered in flowers, makes me feel cheerful when I use it, plus it's purple. Blessings Jimeka, have fun 🦋 🌈 🤗

Here is a funny., a dear friend who has passed had a son give her the came from the 10 commandments...remember moses had a cane on the mountain?He parted the sea?ok actually there were 2 used on stage/screen.....Charalton Heston! what people didn't know is he liked to nip a bit.There is a hidden flask in the handle for a shot or two....I saw it, its cool, it is like a long tree limb flask in center of top!Your surprise for the day. Happy Sunday.. I miss my friend....

Oh, yeah, since jimeka mentioned canes for weddings, have you guys seen the clear lucite canes? They're really nice. Perfect for special occasions. Almost like having an invisible cane!

This is the one I saw someone using at hospital - I love it but disadvantage is it would have to be cut to length. Not sure how easily or well lucite cuts ? I also like the ability to adjust cane height when needed - I found it better to set my adjustable a notch higher due to back spasms on relapse. Really pretty canes,though. x

That IS a very pretty cane; I like the swirls, and you're right, they wouldn't be adjustable. I just lucked out with the height of mine, I guess. Here's the link if you're interested.

Yay ! Naming your tools is a part of acceptance : ) I think both names are great and made me laugh, Greater exp : ) Just to add my own particular strangeness, do you feel your cane is more male or female ? Mine are definitely rough rider, beat up off road blokes ! ( Hence Mick Stagger, followed by The Equaliser. Foreseeing a Michael Caine sometime in the future ! )
