What ever makes you happy, if you can do it, do it. Enjoy. Last night my husband went into work, he is a part time boats man, he ties ships up and lets them go. He received a phone call which delayed him getting to work. When he fianally got to the wharf, 3 pilots were performing CPR on a security guard. My husband took his turn while the others directed traffic, looked out for the paramedics. A 14' metal gate had fallen on the guard unfortunately the man died. If my husband had not have taken the phone call, it would have been him that was under the gate. Needless to say there will be a big enquiry into this mans death, God rest his soul. We are not promised a tomorrow. As I wrote to erash ' I have no lesions on my soul and so I will live with no limits' i.e. If the fatigue will let me. Have a truly blessed day my dear friends, and be thankful.๐ŸŒˆ

  • We seem to be having a rash of these "close call" reminders lately.

May they all be limited to just that (close calls), and may we each be reminded through their occurrence that life is indeed a precious and fleeting gift.

Very glad that your husband was late, Jimeka.

  • All in Gods timing, but it makes you think. Thankyou blessings Jimeka

  • Oh jimeka so glad your husband is ok. It must have been a horrible experience for him.

I sometimes panic if my family members, esp. My aging parents, can't be reached. My mind starts worrying that something has happened.

You are right, appreciate each moment!

  • Made the most of this day, I made the effort and went out with my new purple Walker, had โ˜•๏ธ ๐Ÿ” ๐ŸŸ ๐Ÿซ. Razor ran for 20 minutes behind the truck and loved every minute of it, came home so shattered as I fought through the fatigue, but it was worth it. Today I may not think so, as I have my new grandson and parents coming for a full roast dinner, but I intend to treasure the moment, after I have slaved over the stove! Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

Enjoy your Sunday, blessings Jimeka ๐Ÿพ

  • jimeka They say that all things happen for a reason. Thank God your husband had a reason to be late. Enjoy the "present" of today, as tomorrow is never promised.๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒ

  • I have wasted many hours wondering for what reason something's happen, but I am going to accept this one thankfully ๐Ÿ˜… ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐ŸซI don't need an excuse to eat chocolate, let's say I may have taken advantage this time! Blessings Jimeka

  • ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Wow!

  • Precisely Wow.! Blessings Jimeka

  • jimeka Prayers of thanksgiving that your husband was late and mournful prayers for the family of the man that was killed.

A similar incident happened to my father when he was serving in the Korean War. It was his turn to be on guard at the sentry post. He was arguing with a fellow soldier about a baseball team and arrived late. Just minutes before the enemy had fired on the post and killed the man he was to relieve. If it wasn't for the petty argument, I wouldn't be here.

    Every day is a gift.

  • It certainly is and you get many at the bottom of your garden, so enjoy. Blessings Jimeka

  • Wow, Jimeka! So glad your hubby is ok. Sorry for the loss of the work mate. For those of us that believe, God has a plan for each of us. I believe He brought each of us here to share and help each other. I am so glad to have you and everyone here in my life!

  • Ditto ๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿซ

  • So very glad your husband is OK. And I hope he doesn't develop survivor's guilt. Its so difficult to understand Gods ways. Each of us struggle, I believe, with that at some time. I discuss often w my teen son his belief that God cannot be all powerful and all good as there would be no evil.

As Christopher said, a great reminder of the delicacy of life.

  • My husband appears ok thank you. He takes everything in his stride, and he understands been a farmer how God works, so he doesn't challenge anything. Thank you for your concern, blessings Jimeka

  • I am so sorry to hear about the accident involving your husband's co-worker. I hope his family will be able to cope with his loss.

I love your comment "I have no lesions on my soul". I hope you don't mind, but I wrote that in a notebook, and perhaps I will use it sometime. Blessings to you!
