Has anyone taken meloxicam for pain? If so how did it work for you? I just started it on Monday and other than being a little woozy, it seems to be working.
Meloxicam: Has anyone taken meloxicam for... - My MSAA Community
Meloxicam
I have no experience with this drug, but cannot restrain myself from asking one silly question:
Who exactly is coming up with all of these drug names???
Meloxicam. . . . Ocrelizumab . . .
I almost feel as though I were speaking a voodoo incantation, rather than calling a drug by its name.
That said, I hope that this unknown and odd-sounding concoction is able to provide you with some form of relief, Fee09 .
Best,

Can't answer your question Fee09 , but I am so happy to hear you are feeling better.
Hi Fee,
My dogs have had Meloxicam from the vets - I didn't realise it was used for people ! If it's any consolation, it worked great for my dogs : ) It seems to be geared up more for arthritic conditions. What type of pain was it prescribed for, if you don't mind my asking ? x
I've taken for back pain. It's an NSAID, like ibuprofen (Motrin)
It's thrilling when we find medicines or other therapies really help! Hurrah!
My bf takes 7.5mg twice a day for his back pain. His insurance changed how they were going to cover the rx so he has to take half a pill twice a day.
I take it twice a day for back pain.
I've had this med on my books for a couple of years. A well meaning doctor prescribed it for me. I talked to my neuro about it. It is an anti-inflammatory, so I understand why you might get some relief. However, [yes I sometimes hate that word too...implies something bad is coming] it is not intended to take more than 2 weeks at a time. For MS long term use is not good. I use it when I get some brain swelling. Pay attention to your body to find out where you are getting the best relief. Depending what part of the body or part ie, muscles, nerves , brain etc. there might be a better med for that problem. I keep some around and take periodically. Please understand, I have no medical training, I am only expressing my experience. Please follow your doctors advice or not, your choice. I have some great doctors, once in a blue moon I will not take their advice [this month I notice 4-5 blues moons] LOL My Opinion...Our lives [with MS], was meant to be laughed at, better than crying.
See that's my dilemma, I need a daily pain management. I haven't had a true pain free day in so many years it sad. Between my back, muscle spasms, and nerve misfires...it's like my brain has completely short circuited. I was one of those patient that was on Norco for over 3 years on daily basis without my dr blinking, until the gov started putting regulations on the medication. Now I'm just looking for something that will allow me to do basic things without being in tears within a few hours
