Living with Relapsing MS for over 30 years and I still don't have it all figured out.

I was diagnosed when I was a freshman in highschool, quite traumatic at the time. Been living as close to normal life as possible with MS. However I do live in San Antonio, Texas and the summers are very hot and humid here. So have learned how to live around the heat.

Now Ms has started to affect me cognitively and that bothers me. I'm not able to do some of the work I used to be able to do.

Hi, I just joined, I too had ms for over 30 yrs. But wasn't diagnosed till 2012. Had numbness issues, etc as a younger person but was told by drs I was just stressed. Then experienced optic neuritis and that's how my MS was discovered.

Hello Cindisp I feel for you, I to have had MS symptoms for over 30 years but I was not diagnosed until 2008. The cognitive issues showed up a couple of years ago. I have found I can only get my work done before noon when I have no distractions. I have to cloister myself in my very cool (65 Degree), window less office with no sounds around me. I can no longer multitask. I had to learn to do one step at a time with no breaks in thought. I wish you luck, the brain fog is the most frustrating MS thing of all.
