Hi, started on
Mycophenolate
this week. So far, so good apart from a nagging headache. Anyone on this drug and able to tell me what side effects and benefits to expect? TIA

Mycophenolate reaction
Hello, I wondered if anyone has had back pain when starting this drug? I started just over 2 weeks ago on one tablet in the evening. After about 3 days of nausea all was going well, then I started with a low dull back pain. After about a week this was more pronounced- even went to get checked out for

Struggling with Mycophenolate
My consultant has been trying to get me onto
Mycophenolate
before starting me on Nintedanib , as it is steroid sparing, but I hate feeling the way I do on this drug. Constant nausea, low mood ( I don’t feel like me at all) disrupted sleep and low dull back pain. All of my bloods are fine.

Surgery and immuno suppressants
I am due to have minor surgery on my wrist and have been asked by my surgeon to cease taking
mycophenolate
for a week before and a week after my operation (I presumed because of possible risk of infection?).

Has anyone been prescribed Mycophenolate for stiff and painful hands rather than for ILD?
My rheumatologist doesn't want to increase my Hydroxychloroquine so has prescribed
Mycophenolate
. Has anyone else been prescribed it for reasons other than interstitial lung disease?

Mycophenolate
Hi, just wondering if anyone else has problems with fluctuating sugars levels whilst taking this drug ? Lifestyle and diet have been ruled out for me, so it must be medication.

high temperatures?
On
Mycophenolate
still, pred for 4 years, now discontinued. Generally well until 3weeks ago, I got a kidney infection after a UTI. One IV dose of antibiotics and 3 oral doses later. I feel back to normal but my temperature won’t go down, 37-5* - 38.5*.

Mycophenolate advice
She has been prescribed
Mycophenolate
, which they have said could potentially significantly slow down the scarring and fibrosis. Unfortunately she has a very low tolerance to most medications and usually experiences side effects which put her off taking stuff.

Cellcept vs Myfenax
I thought that
Mycophenolate
brands were not interchangeable and you are advised to remain on the same brand? Is this correct? I'm already in a flare at the moment and have been unable to work since Christmas, so would rather not risk more symptoms. Thanks, Emily

Rutiximub infusion.
Rheum then changed medication to
mycophenolate
but it doesn't seem to be working even after increasing dose to 1500mg per day and in conjunction with prednisolone. I've still bad wrist and thumb pain. Can't even make a sandwich. My rheum has now mentioned rutiximub infusions.

From high hopes to not a lot of hope in one gruelling morning.
He asked how my breathing was since starting
Mycophenolate
. I said no improvement and if honest worse in the month I had been on it. He had all my blood results from my previous consultation on 2nd Jan. He had said then that
Mycophenolate
can take 4 months to have an effect.

SLE flare up
My question is my rheumatologist wants me to start taking
Mycophenolate
to help with the flare up but the tissue viability nurse is concerned that it may halt the healing of the sores. Looking forward to your replies, kind regards 😊
