Wound on my back- Can anyone help/advise?

Hi

Newbie here, not sure if this is the right place to post this

Due to the current circumstances it’s been tough to deal with this issue.

5 years ago I had a lump (lipoma/cyst) removed from my upper back. I was told it will probably grow back back again. Over the last few years it slowly grew back and got infected last week. Felt pulses of pain. Usually, I would go to the doctor and they would send me to the hospital to get it removed again.

Due to the virus outbreak I had to manage it at home. It started to expand and stretch out of the scar left from the previous operation, became really painful. I was given antibiotics and fucidin cream by my doctor, it eventually burst whilst I was asleep. My mother did her best bless her, cleaned it up and gently squeezed pus/blood out.

We've been cleaning it daily and applying dressing to cover it. It now seems to be growing back as another lump, directly where the scar was, Doctor gave me different antibiotics but i had an allergic reaction to them both times, unpleasant experience.

So now I'm left with this wound/lump and I don't know what to do. It currently doesn't hurt but i fear it will get bigger and become an issue.

This is what it currently looks like, it’s only letting me post 1 picture.

Appreciate your help guys.

At idoc24.com you can upload this picture and a dermatologist will tell you if it’s something serious like cancer or if you can just leave it alone for now.

Look you can ask for advice go to drs and get the same results. Unless you try anti parasitc essential mixed with vinegar and peroxide and boil some lemons it isnt gonna stop. I havent figured out a cure but i can say i have done better then these lame drs have not or tried to do for me. But also rub onion and garlic on it yes raw at that. Its not gonna kill you but i promise will help u.

The lump may be there to protect new skin that is growing after your Mum got all the pus out, and keeping it clean along with Fucidin and antibiotics will have kept infection down to give a chance for the body's own immune response to start working. I would favour the idoc24.com route in the first instance as it isn't causing you pain at the moment.

Hi- I think you might of been right.

It healed nicely but now starting to pus a little again.

I think we made the mistake of covering it after it looked nicely healed and it flared up again because of it perhaps.

Maybe I'm wrong, will phone doctor again tomorrow. I thought i was out of the woods and now this again.

Thanks

Wow! It seem u went through alot with this. When i was younger i had juvanille Arthritis nodules. The one spot would come back repeatedly. I have scaring from it. I bet u are a pro about infections. So if it doesn't feel warm or hurt if i would have to say i bet its scare tissue. But i know that my family doctor is doing online visits, maybe that option would help u be ok with (which is understandable with the continuing issue it has caused you). Good luck

Can a moderator tell me how to post follow up pictures?

Why does does the forum make it so difficult to post a few simple pictures? Can't see the option anywhere when i reply or edit!

Thank you.
